Elementary Science Lab

The elementary science program provides students the opportunity to experience the processes of science through guided inquiry and hands-on activities.  The course is designed to introduce students to life, earth and physical sciences.  Emphasis is placed on the mastery of the science processing skills, with the infusion of the Habits of Mind and Critical Thinking Skills. 

Information is presented in a manner that is both relevant and elicits a reaction of wonderment and awe.  Scientific study goes far beyond the absorption of new material.  It encourages active inquiry, investigation and discovery, which prepares students for problem solving and decision making both in and out of the classroom.
