Gathering Data

Observe perpetually.

Henry James

Just as people learn in a variety of ways, they also are able to receive information through different sensory channels.  The use of sight, touch, hearing, smell, and taste as learning tool should not be underestimated.

Teaching students to read, write, and do arithmetic can be accomplished in many ways.  Those students who are encouraged to explore and experiment by using different senses are those who will enjoy a truly enriching learning experience.

Hendricks Day School strives to make learning valuable, enriching, varied, and enjoyable for all students.  We encourage the use of multiple learning methods that involve art, music, kinesthetics, models, projects, and other creative means that will require students to use all their senses.
